At last nights opening of the Photo Art Fair in London (3–6 May 2013), UPON PAPER 02 contributor Gavin Watson poses in front of his 1979 photograph Nev Boom Box. Joining Gavin at the bar, is old flame Victoria, who features in Gavin’s contribution to Issue 03 of UPON PAPER – Lovers – published on 27 May 2013.

The Photo Art Fair is a four-day exhibition of collectable works from international photographers with a central manifesto of ‘intelligent collecting’, connecting photographers with collectors. In addition to a wide variety of new and established talents on display, the exhibition features a collection of previously unseen reportage and portrait works by UPON PAPER’s good friend Will McBride.

Saturday 25 May 2013: Lovers, UPON PAPER Magazine 03 launch and opening of group exhibition.

UPON PAPER enters its second year, and on Saturday 25 May please come and celebrate with us the launch of UPON PAPER Magazine issue 03 and the opening of the corresponding thematic group exhibition Lovers. The third issue of our lavishly produced XXL-size magazine is available from 27 May in stores.

Again, Editor in Chief Holger Homann, Editorial Director Paul Hetherington and Creative Director Helder Suffenplan bring an outstanding line-up of contributors together. In the spotlight this issue are Jeff Burton, Larry Clark, Bill Henson, René Groebli, Rosa Loy, Hans Peter Adamski and Kandis Williams. Many of the works were created specifically for Issue 03 of UPON PAPER. Meanwhile the Lovers group exhibition is conceived as a transfer of the magazine leitmotif into three-dimension at the UPON PAPER Space.
