Piero Lissoni studied Architecture at Politecnico di Milano. After graduating in 1985, he began longstanding collaborations with furniture manufacturers, as a designer and as an Art Director, for Boffi, Living Divani and Porro. Piero Lissoni, together with Nicoletta Canesi, founded “Studio Lissoni” in 1986 which later became Lissoni Associati. In 1996 they created Graph.x for the development of graphic projects. The work of the studio includes architecture, graphic and industrial design projects, ranging from furniture, accessories, kitchens, bathroom and lighting fixtures to corporate identity, with advertising, catalogues and packaging. Interior projects include hotels, showrooms, trade stands,private houses, shops and yachts. The studio has clients such as Alessi, Benetton, Boffi, Cappellini, Cassina, Flos/Antares, Fritz Hansen, Glas Italia, Kartell, Knoll International, Lema, Living Divani, Poltrona Frau, Porro, Tecno, Thonet and Wella. The most recent projects include the restoration of the Teatro Nazionale in Milan, the M Hotel Studio in Singapore; the suites for Pierre Hotel in New York, and for the Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai; the new Headquarters of Glas Italia and Matteograssi; stores and showrooms worldwide. Piero Lissoni has received several awards throughout his career.
